I Have Stood In the Center

I have stood in the center

when I close my eyes
the black runs from my feet
the gold light in through my windows

like summer burning its golden fuel
of reds and oranges pouring into my head
let it fill up with color, blood and wonder

let it pour into me
let it pour out of me

reaching through the membrane of time
reaching out in all directions
like a burst of sun in search of everything
I reach out my hand

trying not to burn you
trying not to set the place on fire
