I Have Some Friends

I have some friends
Whom I really don’t know
I’ve never met them
Yet their words still flow.

They brighten my day
And inspire me to fly
Their compassionate words
Make me want to cry.

I race to the site
Only once a day
And nervously examine
What someone had to say.

They give me a reason
To believe in my dream
I want to succeed
For this amazing team.

Just like me
Their words are an art
And their only goal
Is to touch someone’s heart.

In this vast web
We come together
To share our thoughts
That dance like a feather.

I have some friends
Whom I really don’t know
But their words of wisdom
Still make me glow.

Very sweet poem, and exactly the way I feel too. I often hurry home and it used to be, that I'd check my phone messages first. Now I almost want to check my Soup messages first thing!! Thanks for the lovely poem! ~Carrie

Deborah - You know I have given a lot of thought to the friends I have here that I have never met and a lot who I most likely never will - Then I thought what is it to really know someone - Just because I haven't seen someone doesn't mean I don't know them and just because I have doesn't mean I do - What I do know is that I'm glad the I know you - God Bless
