I Have Hope

You can not see it
But I assure you it is there
At times it’s like a dream
And other times, it’s a nightmare

Sometimes it has me in it’s grasp
But I fight it with every breath
Some days it’s a true battle
And it’s out for sudden death

You can not see it
But you can feel its effects
You can look at me and think nothings there
But inside my body is wrecked

I face each day with a smile on my face
Rather to have so many tears that I’d choke
My illness is invisible
But I still have hope
