Notes About The Poem
inspired from the quote by Anne Sexton
I Have Been Her Kind
"haunting the black air, braver at night.......
...lonely thing, twelve fingered, out of mind......
.....I have been her kind."
Anne Sexton
I Have Been Her Kind
I float above....
a cloud, unto myself
my heart a stone experiment
A woman slightly bent
My shapely legs
beneath a dowdy skirt
My sensual lips
turned down with hurt
Leaf brown to love
A woman not defined
An all renouncing mind
Where trust has flown
on dark befuddled wings
A woman, prey to death
I have been her kind
