I Have a Secret

I have a secret, It tears me apart Each and every day, Making its way to my heart, I have a secret, Something I cannot destroy. You can't mess around, Because this secret is not a toy, I have a secret I can no longer control, Every so often Making damage its toll. I have a secret, It keeps me awake at night. Sometimes I can't sleep, Because of all the fright I have a secret that’s killing me inside, Keeping the real me Locked away to hide. I have a secret That's making me die. I'm not getting well. But the worst part is I have a secret That I cannot tell...

Ahh, really love your writing style, sometimes keeping a secret is better than telling an unreliable person, I m sure that you ll have a reliable friend to share such things in real life, if not, then right it down, it definitely helps (works for me ) or tell it to God, God s always listening, good luck

I understand the feeling Daisy. We all have dark secrets. It reminds me of the song "Keeping Your Head Up" by Birdy. Have you heard it? If you listen to the words she sings, "everyone keeps a darker place, to lose control, you're not alone, and when you come looking for embrace, I know your soul, I'll be your home." Poetry allows us to open our souls up, and we can find beauty and worth in even the darkest parts of ourselves. Don't lose that voice of yours - allow it to speak with all its might! Always, Laura

Please tell lovely girl. Your poetry is so emotionally raw and compulsive to read. It frightens me. You are going into my fav poets. I feel you have a bright future. I hope you soon see this for yourself. May angels watch over you. Lizzie

Powerful, it has me shedding tears. Tears of fear, like I've felt your pain, not no more for me, that place of self-disdain. I'm free, no more secrets hurting now, more gnawing doubts. The breath of nature, my race to save her. Inadequate, for myself alone, for when her breath I feel upon my face, her words she etches into my brain. All life is coming to an end, no longer by myself can I defend the human race. She begs me to shout louder to get the world to make her feel prouder, to forgive all
