I Have a Heart Too

I have a heart Like most of us do And all I requested That it be loved by you I have a soul And I have a good mind And every once and while You try to batter me down As if I don't cry I have a heart to feel To grieve what's real And I have eyes Which I forced to be blind So I won't have to see A love that has died. I Have a Heart Too!

Hi Ashley, a nice, but sad feeling. I have a 22 year old daughter, who expressed herself the same way last week. During the time I gave her my comfort. She said the same words, you have in your poem above. "I HAVE A HEART TOO." It's not as easy to pretend these kind of feelings don't matter. I like the way you expressed your heart.... Always... Oh! I am fine though. Just posting some poems that have been hidden in my poetry book. Some are from a more hurtful in time in life. Regardless, thanks for the concern Tim! (:
