I Hate My Eyes

I look at you with hope filled eyes
Eyes reflecting my desire to cry
Eyes that reflect every emotion, that to hide I try
I hate my eyes, how I hate my eyes

Grief ridden lying in the bottom of life's pit
Degraded blown to bits, with value less than spit
Yearning still to find happiness they try
I hate my eyes, how I hate my eyes

Insult added to injury when my eyes see you
They still make me fall in love with the evil being that's you
Your distance from me has them brim with tears, my eyes
I hate myself and I hate my eyes

Oh how I hate my eyes

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

i can understand this, but sometimes we need to let our eyes see what pleases us..
