I Hate My Age Today

orange polka dots
on my tummy’s walls
tumors on my esophagus
Not so small, big, explosive, angry ones
Causing me internal bleeding
I am warned
I should eat other foods
jalapeno peppers can no longer
be my go-to fruit
I hate my age today

39 is a tough number to swallow, I know...LOL. What can I add here? --Other than accept, accept, accept...and turn those jalapeno pepper lemons into soothing lemonade somehow. Good luck. Let me know when you hit 40... :) gw

My daughters are 40, 46 and 47, so this is hilarious to me my friend. I hope I have hit at least 39. When I was told no more jalapeno peppers I nearly died. I had been eating a jar of them with a can of beans every night for about six months.
