I had missed her
Marta’s kitchen was exactly the same as I remembered.
I had not been here in at least thirty two years.
It was clean, tidy, and smartly organized as always.
a workable kitchen, with a happy sink, she said.
I had missed her, and her fresh vegetables.
But now you are here, she said with a wink.
