This poem was published in 1984 in a poetry book titled "Our World's Most Beloved Poems" under my maiden name Julia A. Durre.
I had a dream that I saw the Lord
Standing before my eyes.
When I awoke and found Him gone
My eyes began to cry.
For the sight of Him was wonderful
Nothing could take its place.
He spoke to me, He walked with me.
The Lord, He touched my face.
He told me of a beautiful place
Where one day I may be.
A place where I would be with Him
For all eternity.
I had a dream about my Lord
And He showed me the way.
I thank the Lord for giving me
The dream I had today.
