I Guess I Am Still Grieving
Your scent still soothes me,
I can still recall your voice,
Reminiscing in day dreams,
Redemption moves me,
Absolution had no choice,
Connected by our heartstrings.
Flooding memories,
Rivers of pictures of you,
Retrieving lives you have changed,
Your sky, masterpiece,
You never sought your value,
Sadness and became estranged.
Effected by dark,
Infliction from self pity,
I wish you saw your own white,
Halo lights a spark,
Reflection, you so pretty,
You lost a terrible fight.
Every now and then,
I catch a glimpse of your smile,
Dreams so vivid, eyes open,
I can't comprehend,
Why you would choose your lifestyle,
Saving you I was hoping.
I believed in you,
But you didn't in yourself,
You gave up with too much ease,
If your love was true,
Why couldn't we stay ourselves,
We just sat and watched you bleed.
