I Gaze Horizons of the Day

~o~ I gaze horizons of the day I only see what I can see But there before my eyes does shine A moment caught in time Where everything is beautiful Because I call you mine I find a sunrise formed of love Sent down from up above I gaze horizons - of the day ~o~
Ok the song “I’ve grown accustomed to her face” by Nat King Cole came on as I was flipping stations this morning on my way to work and I had the melody stuck in my head so I wrote a verse to it. P.S. I was listening to Aerosmith prior to that. : )

Fortunately we have music in the office so that song is long gone now, but I get here so early, it is quiet when I arrive and it did stay with me until everyone else showed up. Thanks so very much my friend. I truly do appreciate your kindness.

Music is so inspiring to me always too, Chris. I love what you wrote with your inspiration :) It also made me think of an Aerosmith concert I saw once around New Years Eve :)

Chris, I must agree with John and Sandra. I'm listening to Nat King Cole now. Always liked his songs and style since the days of long bus rides with my Walkman. -Richard

Thanks so much Richard. I appreciate your visit and comment today. I am a fan of all music and like john said, it always inspires me. The funny thing, I was wanting to write something this morning so I was listening to the Beatles channel, looking for inspiration, flipped the station and there was Nat on the Sinatra channel. That was all it took.

Nat King Cole...Aerosmith it's all the same...nothing to be ashamed of. I felt the cadence of the song right away, I didn't know which song but felt it. Music always inspires me to write. Loved this one, great way to greet the day, with poems on the horizon!

Thanks so much John. I wasn't ashamed, just trying to show my full age...I mean range. : ) I'm glad you liked this. Tomorrow it will be a Frank Sinatra/Metallica duet.
