I Gave You

I gave you the voice
I gave you the pen
I gave you the paper
To write a letter
To those who should know better
I gave you the hands
With which to plead
I gave you the tears
To show how much you hurt
I gave you the bruise
To show others what's done to you
I gave you the blood
For the injuries to bleed
I gave you belief
Beyond the life you live

I gave you the man
That's given you so much pain

Thank me for your lesson
And everything you gained
