I Found Love

Where is love this rainy day
I asked a maiden in a cafe
She said to me with tearful eyes
Not here perhaps up in the skies

I went along the shaded avenue 
To find a happy person that she knew
For love is everywhere the poets say
So I went on though the day was gray

Hey lad have you seen love today
She must have come this way 
Her scent is everywhere I go
Perhaps she’s now laying low

Hey mister she went that way
And hid around that archway
I ran to see her hiding place
For I really needed her embrace

I sat upon a bench and cried
And felt someone sitting by my side
I turned and saw her sitting next to me 
My heart felt her and became carefree
