I Fly
I’ve always done the practical,
You could call me down to earth.
I’m what they call dependable,
I’ve been that way since birth.
I’ve done what is expected,
I’ve always acted my age.
Never was love freedom,
Nor loneliness a cage.
But now I see the mountain top
And here’s the reason why.
I’ve got a brand new pair of wings
And in your arms I fly.
Desires become reality,
The possible gets done,
Dreams no more ephemeral,
My spirit sees the sun.
The miracle is every day,
We only have to try.
I’ve got a brand new pair of wings
And in your arms I fly.
