I Finish This Dosage In The Morning - Parody

This medicine will be out
Before the clock strikes noon.
It won't be long now
Before I'm back in tune...

I finish this dosage in the morning.
Woohoo! This course is at an end.
My pain relief's unreal
And bright eyed I feel.
No more will I doze off, my friend!

I finish this dosage in the morning.
Alertness and energy return.
I'm back on the mend
Not driven round the bend,
Brain fog caused by meds is quite a burn!

If we're conversing
And I should snore
Then you can nudge me
As you know why for!

So far, today is working out well.
Oh what a happy chap am I!
I hope there'll be no need
For pain these meds to feed
For quite a while now...
(For quite a while now)
For quite a while now or I might cry!

Though I am not free of health problems
I'm glad I am finishing the course.
I'm back to myself now.
Lost two weeks, don't know how.
Will refuse these drugs til pain puts on great force!

So I'm awake now.
No need to think
That when you're talking
You bore me to sleep.

I'm glad this stuff is out my system.
Relief from exhaustion is a gift.
It's written on my face,
My faculties in place.
No need for these meds...

No more need for these meds my spirits lift!

Though I am grateful
They eased the pain,
I'm really hoping
I won't need them again!

I finish this dosage in the morning.
