I Feel Ashamed

I am hungry, what will it be?
Ham, turkey or that nasty bologna?
I am hungry, chickpea mash?
Spam or that disgusting Hash?
I am hungry, mountain oysters anyone?
Fish eggs? Or sushi that is "not done?"
Such meager questions on what to eat.
There are people out there who are starving.
I feel ashamed and should do my part.
To give the shirt off my back would be a start.

Erin this poem hits upon a very profound subject - I can't help but think of all the hungry that could have been fed if our new president would have rode in the limo that the last president rode in and they used the money spent on the two new limos in a more realistic manner - But I guess when money is no object it can be wasted in many ways - I find all rather sad in a very ironic way - God Bless, MJ
