I Empty the Night, You Rise the Sun
I EMPTY THE NIGHT, YOU RISE THE SUN
The dense darkness of the star starved night
stayed petrified in stony niche of my mind bare,
I kept accreting layers so long out of your sight
until the time came for my passionate horizon
to melt it in desolate night’s cauldron of despair
that flowed searching a place in the heart of dawn,
I found unveiled, lighted by the sun raised by you
my nascent sky is colored in motif of your astral flair.
The empty mind, now hued, grows wings of love new,
a bird from depth of dark I fly in your shimmering air.
