I Drift Among

I drift among the rainbow-hued that strongly claim to be imbued with light and truth, and in this sea, are dark fish, too, that swim with me. So what from this have I construed? Although I have a cheerful mood, I move with some inquietude because of the variety I drift among. . . For there’s no group I quite include myself inside. Thus, not renewed, I borrow some complacency, awaiting an epiphany as life slips from the multitude I drift among. March 30, 2022 For A Brian Strand Premier Choice Poetry Contest

Andrea, this excellent piece uses symbolism very effectively to describe the differing sides of a person. (Me--one day sunshine; next day, a dark cloud!) Janice

Nicely written, Andrea. I find the Rondeau so difficult I rarely try one. I think I did one recently, however, and I think it turned out okay. You have such a gift!

I have written many triolets and, of course, my variation called the trionet. I've written a few quaterns. So far as I recall, I've never tried the kyrielle. I generally try to match the theme or subject with the form I use. I really enjoy villanelles, terzanelles, and terza rimas.

I juar love doing them, Milt. I adore kyrielle, quatern, and triolet too. Do you like those forms?
