I Dreamt of You

I had a dream last night
a very disturbing dream, a nightmare almost:
I was on a bus, not knowing where it was
It passed through destroyed cities
Collapsed walls, ruins and angry souls

I was sitting right at the front
Feeling I was going to fall right off
The driver told me he would take me home
I trusted him as everything was so unknown

Then it happened so fast; I saw you at the city square passed
You were with two others; one guy and a significant other
You three stood out in the crowd
Wearing suites, looking amazingly handsome

My heart ached as I recognized your face
I wished in my dream we were together in the same place
The bus stopped and you came towards it
To my surprise you also got on my bus, leaving your friends out

Our eyes met and we both blushed
You brushed my hand and I was stunned
I was hoping you'd sit beside me
However you chose to sit right behind me

Butterflies were dancing in my guts
I was debating whether I should talk to you or just halt
The bus driver stopped on the road shortly
Told me, this was where I was supposed to leave

That I should wait for the next bus there
"Ahang" was the name he proclaimed
I got up and said thanks and bye
You didn't follow and I was just crushed

I sat on the bench and watched the bus
as it took you away from me one more time
Again you had left me behind in a strange land!
Even my subconscious doesn't trust you, Alas!!
