I Dreamt of Stars

I dreamt of stars
And I saw your face,
Appear above grey clouds of night.

I dreamt of stars,
And your voice called to me,
Through the haze I saw your hand and took it.

I dreamt of stars, 
And saw things unknown,
I saw galaxies and creatures and knew I was home.

I dreamt of stars 
But when I opened my eyes,
Reality creeped in and I was alone again...
