I Dreamed a Dream
I dreamed a dream
I wander streets alone at night beneath the light of street lamps burning
I am there in darkness not in light in the shadows I'll be creeping
I see all the creatures out tonight and no one wants them for enslaving
I am the dreamer who fights the fight and I'll never stop this endless searching
I know the people warm inside are just happy in ignorance of learning
I keep my soul from blackest knights and watch the wheels that keep on churning
I am free I cry in spite of the gremlins that want to see inside which is always lurking
I cannot forever hide but when I'm spent the dreams I have are mine not one was ever faking
