When day disappears behind the far-off mountains, The fading sun takes the twinkle from the fountains, And night’s velvet blanket hangs high in the sky, And I snuggle into a pillow til morning is nigh. A dream wafts in from a heavenly source, Soaring directly and straight on course. Dreams are like a journey into the unknown. Where magic stories and poems are shown. Realms of images by a wave of fairy dust, flown, Where everything I see and hear will be my own. The birth of a poem, held tightly by my dream. An inkling of an idea, I don't know how it will stream. An illusion, a miracle, my poem is still an embryo. So many enchanted ideas, it has a long way to go. My dream will keep it safe and allow it to grow. Will it be clever, funny or cute, this I don’t yet know. Deep in sleep my dream lets me feel your love all around. I feel myself restless though I don’t make a sound. Your love is so new, feels like a babe in my arms. I delight in the misty vision of you with all your charms. Something is wrong, its as if I don’t know you. where is the fondness that we each have so true? My dream has it wrong for we are in love. Our union was blessed years ago by heaven above, But in this dream, you simply don’t know me. My husband where’s the love you always bestow me? I don’t want this new dream, where’s the love we had? I see you standing at a church alter as just a young lad. The bride isn’t me, I cant control this dream, makes me sad. I don’t like this dream, I want one that makes me glad. My eyes are twitching, my breathing is everywhere. This isn’t a dream it’s turned to a horrible nightmare. Wait. What's this? You are there beside me, near everyone. That isn’t you getting married, that’s in the future, our son.
