I Dont Wanna Dance To This Song

This song used to mean a lot to me
Over someone who wasn’t you
I don’t want to dance to this song
I don’t want to mix the two

To keep them apart
May mend my broken heart
The shreds that still last
From the memories have past

Holding me tied to them
With the shame that last
The song was mine to him
Our time has past

I don’t want to dance to this song
I’ve put it behind me for oh so long
And being with you during this
Would somehow remind me of our dance, his kiss

I care for you now
I don’t want to remember
Everything from him to me
So could we not dance to this song
