I Don'T Love You
I don’t love you for your beautiful eyes.
But looking at them tend to mesmerize.
I don’t love you for your beautiful face
Or your warm heart so full of grace.
I don’t love you because of your smile
Or because I’ve known you for a while.
I don’t love you because you’re smart
Or just because you captured my heart.
I don’t love you because of your love
Or because you look like angles above.
Oh no, I don’t love you for any of these,
Nor do I love you because you please.
I don’t love you for the way you look,
But without trying you set the hook.
I don’t love you for what you say
But maybe I can explain some day.
I don’t love you for a particular thing,
But the fullness to my life you bring
All rolled up in my dreams of you.
When you appear they all come true.
Why don’t I love you? Maybe I should
Make myself more understood.
I don’t love you like you think I do,
I only love you because you’re you.
