I Don'T Know
While some people come, others are a no-show.
They make promises, but break them as they go.
Some say they can’t do it, but don’t even try.
What is stated is truth, but it turns out a lie.
All I want are the facts as I move to and fro.
Don’t always give me the same thing, “I don’t know”.
I expect them to be on time, but they arrive late.
When I ask for the news, people often prevaricate.
Sometimes, these jokers don’t arrive at all.
Too often, those I know are enough to appall.
In this world, I know many a Jane and Joe.
Frequently, all each one says is “I don’t know.”
When I ask you this, don’t say “I don’t know”.
If I ask you that, don’t say “I don’t know”.
When I want to know, don’t say “I don’t know”.
If I want to hear, don’t say “I don’t know”.
Is your only reply going to be “I don’t know”?
Get lost you worthless trash, you had better go.
