I Don't Give a Fig

To say you would unblock someone if they can be civil is a crock of BS that I'd categorize as narcissistic drivel. It's just another veiled shovel full, meant as a dig but it's quite clear that some people don't give a fig! Oh, the impudence of one who has an arrogant nature. The petulance of one without disciplined nomenclature.

Lin, well done, some just pretend to " give a fig" while continuing to harass others while playing the victim.

That's exactly what some do, Tania. It's too bad that they manage to convince so many that they are being bullied rather than being the bullies.

We should never give a fig for the fickle and the temporal characters that don't have regard for other's feelings. As I grow older I don't take too heart to much of what people do or don't do, stay well, march at your own drum, your title got me, and the poem kept me, lol, Happy New Year

That's true, Vie. They're not worth being regarded for such an attitude. Thanks for your New Year wishes, and I return all good wishes to you in return.

Well, put my friend I couldn’t have said it any better. Some people just think they’re way more intelligent than everyone else. I hope all is well and you have a great day!

All is very well with me. Mark. That type is not intelligent. Narcissists yearn to be recognized as queens and kings. The female variety wears a tilted tiara and the jesters wear a crooked crown. There may be a poem in that thought!

It's funny that if you met someone in the street it's unlikely they'd open their gob, but from the safety of a keyboard they become something else. It takes a lot to rattle my cage and I've only had to resort to using the block feature once. And that's where she's staying, blocked. Tom

I know, Tom and I agree with you. A few of us have that one blocked. I think I have 10 on my list, counting the same dolt with quite a few names.

Bravo Lin, but sadly many fall for the BS he pens in the name of 'peace' but after so many years and so many false promises we can see through him and he can block me for life , because his talks of peace are utter crap and he is not worth commenting to:-) hugs jan xx

We know, as a few others, that what you've typed is correct. To each his own to believe you or not. I always appreciate your comments on my poems, Jan.

Yes its true Lin some people care more about that blocking button to save face, than putting their thoughts into constructive critique like you and so many real poets do, but like you said (who gives a fig) what a neat and fitting poem for (today) and indeed for any other day, cheers David

I've only ever blocked people who have given me good cause to do so. To quote you, "I treat everyone with the same respect and contempt they show me, all in equal copious measure!" There are times when devious comments cannot be ignored. Thanks, David.

Seeker, I feel the umbrage when a friend is given invective flak. I'll take it as a compliment in hopes that you meant it that way.
