I Don'T Believe

I don't believe in one sided love affairs.
I don''t believe that only one can share.
I don't believe your heart's incapable.

It's hard to believe you don't love me.
I know that love is blind
but it's your heart that is confined.
Your feelings for me you do not share.
Is it because they're really not there?

I feel your hurt, your every need.
I see on your face the stream of tears.
Childlike heart, so full of fears.

Nothing can grow without a seed.
Without nourishment it will not succeed.
Can't you hear my plead?
Open your heart and make room for me.

Am I mispreceding?
Am I misreading?
Am I not worthy of.....
I didn't mean to push or shove.

My expectation you did exceed.
And now I must perceive.
Left behind with just memories.
And to this day....
I still don't believe,
that you don't love me.

I think you should quit your day job and write poetry 24-7.

Oh Donna, only when you love you can feel the softening of the hearteries.
