I Do Not Cower
Gray covered skies, tints of light
Waiting, trying, to do what is right
A storm of thoughts in my mind
Gets even worse with what I find
There’s a stagnant air outside
I thought I heard an angel that cried
There’s a stillness around today
That indicates more is on the way
Minutes pass slowly, birds chirping count
Many things suddenly mount
Finding answers, that were not known
Flying places, I haven’t flown
Gray covered skies, tints of light
Remain the same each hour
I look at the color of the flower,
Blooming through a rain shower
- I do not cower -
