I Do

As I lay down close beside you,
in the stillness of the night.
I can hear your breathing penetrate,
the peaceful pulse of life.

I move up close and hold you,
feel the warmth your body glows.
I know the depth of love within your face,
each line - a story holds.

You turn your face to see me,
I feel each move you make.
You hold me tight but tenderly,
as we cherish the love we take.

And we plan our lives before us,
the babes that we shall raise;
at a time that's right for all we must
for it's life that we create.

A love to share forever.
A gift from me to you
For life is so much to treasure -
I give my all - in vows, ' I do'.
