I Didn't Fix the Faucet

I didn't fix the faucet.  I didn't fix the door. I had a little mishap going to the hardware store. Now, I'm going to the fields where golden geeses lay. In that land of Eden, they got no faucets anyway.

Eventually we leave all these things behind. I think about such things when spending time at my dad’s house, where mom no longer does the cooking and cleaning. Wonder what she is up to in Eden! sigh…

I hope all you have to do is receive a hearty welcome, pull up a chair, and be served apple pie like my grandmother's, and someone else will clean up - hmm, that sounds a lot like going to my grandmother's house as a kid. That must be heaven.

Yep, it was 30 years ago, and I had to buy something called a stem, and I found out there's left-handed and right-handed stems - at least that's the way I remember it - LOL

haha, once I actually fixed a faucet, about 30 years ago. My wife at the time was amazed, and so was her dad. It took two trips to the hardware store to get it right. This is pretty fictional, because nobody who knows me well would expect me to fix anything. When my dad tried to teach me how to fix my bike, he just shook his head.
