I Dare Look Back

I dare look back, on quiet nights,
To youthful times of new romance
When holding hands ‘neath movie lights
First sparked in me enchanting bliss;

Yes, wander, mind, go reminisce
On nerves before a school-gym dance
And how a hug or tyro’s kiss
Would rocket me to luscious heights!
