I Dare

I dare dream Upon a sea of black birds Feasting on fresh fish and worms I dare look Upon an ebony and obsidian sky A black storm Circling the atmosphere I dare fancy Upon piercing and heartless Eyes staring into mine Begging me to run I dare wonder At sharp onyx bills And able claws and beaks I dare frame feathers into portraits Of doves and snowy hills and mountains I dare ponder upon Wings of phenixes and dragons Free verse Marckincia Jean 04/27/19
