I Couldn'T Talk

I couldn't talk, they told me I would die if I did
Those things I saw were not to be told!
I was young with my voice stolen
The world was caving in on me
There were no safe adults, not even police!
So I prayed and I wrote!
Writing saved me, God saved me,
From the walls all around me...
The pretending to be happy...
And smiles people complimented that were not real!

Heidi, it’s so horrific what some horrid people do and my heart aches for the children who have to see things they should never have to witness. Bless you, Belle
