I Continue To Dance
This house I live in chose me long ago, because
somehow I had already been there before it was
completely built.
I remember that I had gone upstairs to see what
it was like, and when I arrived in the master bedroom
I remembered that the sliding glass door was opened and
the partially closed vertical blinds flowed gently in the wind.
God heard me say then if I were to live here that I would have
enough space to dance and glorify Him.
Up against a range of beautiful mountains my house does reside.
When I desire I move the blinds aside to gaze upon the beautiful
Catalinas so grand and tall.
I am never truly alone here for my Father God and my little dog
keep me company, keep me loved and happy.
Full of unspeakable joy; as do many of my neighbors here.
My hope is that I do the same for them.
I have lived without a TV for quite some time now and do you know
what? I don't miss it much and really not at all!
For the news didn't always have the greatest things to say about
the state of affairs that we are in; how evil man can be; who killed
who; famine and diseases seem to reign inside the world's headlines.
When there are good things to report it seems precious few.
But inside this house with the music always on I continue to dance
and praise Him; and I pray for everyone and everything that needs prayer.
I lift it all to the Lord as I continue to dance and praise.
And then things become brighter and full of certain hope even if there seems
to be outside a howling wind.
