I Caught a Glimpse

I caught a glimpse
Beyond understanding
Or full of understanding.
A wond'rous thing, a fleeting thing.
Not unlike
Love, or a dull ache for it made into Light
To be returned to
I felt my weight and waited to see if - once again - I could grab this chimera!
Hold it. Reveal my love
But, no
It slipped beyond my grasp as does the gap between thoughts.
Desperate to give it mass I missed it.
Desolate.
The green brown surroundings shockingly came into focus again,
Like an oncoming train.
