I Can'T See It

ce Can't see windblown daffodils dancing nor billowing clouds of elephants romancing. See no humor in circus clown's frown no companionship with friends around town. Pleasure and purpose suddenly gone lost mellow mood from favorite singer's song. Miss the satisfaction from sunset sky self-confidence lacking, I know why. Life's direction has drifted off course abundance of sadness since divorce. Tomorrow begins next chapter of life and angel I love, no longer my wife. Heard freedom from marriage has benefit through never ending tears, I can't see it.

When we’re going through pain it’s hard to imagine that all will be okay one day. I could feel the emotion throughout the poem. Great write.

Thanks for the comment Carol. I enjoyed projecting the pain of divorce. I am not going through a divorce, but if I was, the pain would be as I feel I presented. I like putting myself in a position and then trying to write about it. Thanks for the concern. Wayne

This is very sad Carl. It is interesting how life can shadow things that were previously enjoyable or full or beauty ... like sunsets. Nicely penned ... ~ Judy

I really felt sad for the individual in the poem, he was a lot younger than I and I feel he'll surely get over the heart break. Thanks for the comment. Wayne

John, I feel it, I feel it every time I write a poem. I have brought tears to myself several times. There are a bunch of readers who have stated they are praying for me.....that makes me know I hit the right note. Thank you for reading the poems and I am planning on reading more of you poems, you are a much better writer than I..Thanks
