I Can'T Pretend

I CAN'T PRETEND

I CAN’T PRETEND, I DON’T KNOW YOU ANYMORE
IT’S WRITTEN ALL OVER MY FACE. YOUR PRESENCE OCCUPY MY HEART
SPACE.

I CAN'T PRETEND, YOU ARE IN THE BACK OF MY MIND
I AM TIRED OF FIGHTING TO PUT YOU IN THE BACK OF MY
MIND.

I CAN'T PRETEND ANYMORE, WHEN IM NEAR YOU, I HAVE BUTTERFLIES
ALL DAY LONG. I'VE COME TO LOVE THESE BUTTERFLIES!!!

I CAN'T PRETEND, YOU DON’T MATTER, AND I CAN’T PRETEND
I’M OKAY WITH US JUST BEING FRIENDS.

I CAN'T PRETEND, YOU ARE ALL I THINK ABOUT. YOU
ARE ALWAYS ON MY MIND. WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES
YOU ARE ALL I SEE. JUST LET ME LOVE THEE

I CAN’T PRETEND, I’M STRONG WHEN IT’S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE,
ALL I DO IS GO BACK TO MY ROOM AND CRY.

MY REALITY IS, I'M SO IN LOVE WITH YOU
I JUST CAN'T PRETEND.

Wow, that's a beautiful poem. Your selection of words is so nice. Love is itself so powerful
