I Cannot Go
I Cannot Go
I want to be what I was,
Even 3 or four years ago,
For little by little I’m fading
And backwards I cannot go.
I want to sing in my soul,
When something new comes my way,
For little by little I’m fading,
And backwards I cannot go.
I want to find peace and optimism again,
As once I did in my youth,
For little by little I’m fading,
And backwards I cannot go.
Now I see the light,
I see skies right and left in the glow,
Fading ends, a thrill begins,
For forward I can go.
