I Can Tell

I predicted no one likes me.
Like the universe in between my toes.
Everyone communicates sometimes.
Or gives into a trash can.
I predicted no one likes me.
Because maybe the terrible things that could happen are a space ship I can’t steer this thing.
I predicted no one likes me.
Maybe it’s just a soft anger.
Or a gentle slurping of my emotions.
I predicted no one likes me.
Next time maybe I’ll block it out.
Like the stranger I can be.
