I Can See Again

The harbor mist settled gently upon the smile of their faces
As they gazed with wonder at the tranquil descending sun
My children never experienced a sight such as this before
It was as if I saw it for the first time again, through their eyes
Thank you, dear children, for the blessing of new sight
Along with the welcoming of new experiences and visions

Ah...the wonder of seeing things through new eyes. We take so much for granted, until we realize ...how would it be if we were seeing it for the first time. Nicely said in your poem, Michael. ~Carrie
