I can FIX him!

"I can fix him! 1. Add me to your collection, darling, The TBR list of women who claim they can fix you. Later, they escape when they realize this is too real. It was one-sided loathing, the way you loved me. 2. In your arms, tell me about the way he punched you Whenever you acted out of line. Remind me of the abuse she gave you When you have your hand on my thigh. I'll pretend I'm fine. Push me away when I get too close; I bet my tears jerk you high. I can fix him. 3. Take my hand in yours when you're too scared to face him. I promise to cry for you, For the little boy who forgot his age, And the blue films he was forced to watch too. For the little boy who was taught to play house at ten, With his sisters and mother, he needed to fend. For the little man who held my heart in strings To keep me under control, The only man who has my life in constant patrol. I know, I can fix you! 4. I will cry for you, For the abused who became the abuser. I will mourn for you. After all, broken men break women. I know, I can fix you. 5. My head is spinning; A shard of glass is embedded in my arm. Let's assume I fell. I hissed in pain as you stitched it up, Along with one of those haunting memories you tell. People on the internet know nothing about us. They say you're bad news, and I should run for the hills. Mom called you manipulative or said you're holding me in by force. I can't understand why. I think I can fix you. 6. In the end, I might become you. Yes, with a string of TBR men claiming to fix me. I can't fix you."
