I Can

                              I Can

Boys and girls I wonder why
When I was just a child
                   I never thought I could
I even was a little wild
As I grew into a teen
                   I got wilder every day
My folks could not control me
This is what I have to say
                   I was eight years old
And watched tv one Easter day
The movie I watched was about
Jesus our Savior and His life on earth
It made me cry to see this man
The Son of God and how he tried to be heard
I believed on Him who God sent me
He was sent to save the world
I can do anything through Him
                   He gives us strength unfurled
                   Salvation he was preaching
And now I am set free
                   I can't are words I never use
                   In my dictionary
I can is in it's place
                   Because of Jesus saving grace
