I Cam To Take You

I came to take you with me Away from shame, away jealousy; I’m your life and shadow too Come out of your standing grave—it is earthy. Fairly, I’ve come this way, only for you Following the breeze, before the advent of dew; Is it your woo, neither band nor song Or is it your love or virtue? For without you, my sore widened a furlong In this pain, thirst grew, I became too strong And this love was last journey Come with me! O’ Soul! O’ My Song! Sheikh Nissar
