I Burned My Lips On Hers Today

I burned my lips on her’s today
Though I have no one but myself to blame

‘Twas in the moment of our first kiss
Our passion burst into a raging flame

I oft had admired her from a distance
Never knowing she was the Devil’s child

I knew the instant we began to dance
I’d lost my soul cause it got wild

She twisted my heart into a knot
And clouded my mind with smoke

But it was when I met her dad
….. ( come on fellow poets !!
Give me a great last line !)….
(….bloke, joke, cloak, poke…
Have some fun with me !)

Hahaha. If one elects to dance with the devil’s daughter I’m thinking they’ll be passionate about it !! Thanks for visiting. Darrell
