I Believe

I believe— Though no shadows walk beside me; Though silence wraps the path ahead; Though hands withdraw and voices falter; Still, I rise on words unsaid. I believe— When the world is torn in two; When bridges burn and stars fall through; When reason sleeps and hope feels thin; Yet, something stirs the soul within. I believe— Though no trumpet calls my name; No crowd to cheer, no fire, no flame; Even when the morning sighs; And, dreams dissolve in heavy skies. I believe I can touch the sky— Not with hands, but with the will to try. My thoughts, like feathers, lift me high, Beyond the walls that cage the cry. I believe I can fly— Above the doubts, above the night, Beyond the scars and silent fight. Not with wings, but heart and flame, I soar with purpose, not for fame. Each night I sow the seeds of light, Each day I chase them into flight. My wings are not of bone or skin— They are made of all I hold within. I believe in what I do, In dreams I chase, in skies I knew Before I ever learned to fear, Before the voices made me veer. I believe. I believe. I believe. I believe.
