I Awake To Darkness (Part 3)

As I lay there like a lifeless ragdoll
I realize that I have lost it all
Rising I struggle to regain my stance
I don't know if I will get another chance
Seeing my path I begin to walk
The spirits in my mind quietly talk
I cannot hear them because I still feel dazed
I must get through this unbearable phase
There is a door that I have reached
This door is the one I need to breech
I kick the door because I am angered
The door then opens and then I enter
As I am walking through the building I feel lonely
A breeze goes by and it is very chilly
I am growing tired and I want to rest
But I know deep down I must continue my quest
I speed my walk to a run
This is not exciting nor is it fun
Not paying attention I trip over a stone
I collapse and the impact breaks a bone
The pain is unbearable and I begin to shout
As I grow older, my eyes shut and I pass out...

Looks like there's going to be another part to this story, hey. Well, I look forward to reading it. Thanks again. Caroline.

Now you made it your own quest, but somehow it was a dead end and you end up hurting yourself. I think you should have followed the cries. Whether this story is true or not, it is clearly telling the reader of the importance of making the right choice. Not necessarily follow voices whether they are inner or outer, but follow your intuition. That is what is telling you right. I like this thought provoking, intriguing write. thank you also for your comments on mine. Best wishes, Caroline.
