Notes About The Poem

I Asked

     I asked
     but He said no,
     so I moved on.

     I asked again,
     but did He hear?
     Perhaps He
     was not near.

     I asked
     a third time,
     and He said,
     you are mine
     have no fear.

     As I care
     for the sparrows
     and the flowers,
     that much more
     do I care
     for thee!

     Yes, I know
     God my Father
     cares for me,
     He gives me
     what I need,
     though
     sometimes I
     may disagree.
