I Ask For Your Forgiveness

I know I messed up
And I know it's mostly my fault
I should've kept my mouth shut
And I'm sorry that I... didn't
I know it's hard to
Forgive something like that
Because someone else did the same thing to me
And I was in the same position as you

But I figured
It's partially my fault
Because I led her to believe
She'd make a good couple
With someone else besides me
I'm asking you
To please forgive me
You don't have to talk to me
But please let me know
If you are still
Mad at me

It's only been a few hours
Yet it seems like so many years
Since I made you mad
And it is hurting me
I can't keep pretending
To be happy forever
Because little by little. everyday
I lose a part of myself

But I figured
