I Am Writing a Poem Today
I don’t know what I am going to write,
And I don’t know what I am going to say,
But I have decided to write a poem today.
It might be silly and maybe sweet,
And I don’t think it will sweep you off your feet,
But I have decided to write a poem today.
If I scratch my head and think out loud
Perhaps this poem will have a rhyming sound.
So if I swing to the rhythm,
And sway to the beat
This poem will be sure to move my feet.
I have decided to write a poem today.
